A unique learning approach
When do we learn?

It has been recognised over time that we learn best, when we want to learn. When we are open to communicate with ourselves and keen to engage with the learning tools.

We also learn the best, when we actually do things. When we work towards solving a problem or a challenge. It is in that process of doing that the learning becomes a part of us. Between reading about a problem/case study and actually doing it, the latter will be miles ahead in helping us discover our potential.

Another very important aspect of the learning process is interaction; with a facilitator, a guide and more importantly with the peers. When these two come together, they create a fabulous learning experience.

This approach

We made the above factors the foundation stones of our learning approach. We have tried to ensure that you, the learner is made available the challenges, tools and a group in a setting where you can then, at your own time, create learning for yourself.

It incorporates Challenge Based Learning where in you learn actively based on real life problems.  This makes the whole process engaging and fun and you inculcate some real life problem solving skills like communication, collaboration and critical thinking.

How will learning take place

It is important to understand that the approach is not about providing answers. The prime purpose of this approach is to help you become familiar with key challenges expected in a particular area and how to approach them. More importantly, the purpose is to help you ask the right questions to be able to understand and hence solve any challenge in future.

Real life business challenges are the context of learning

Your role

Here you take the responsibility of your learning. So, you bring out thoughtful analysis and perspectives to the challenge at hand. Raise questions. You go through the reference content made available and much more by yourself. Work towards creating solutions to the challenges. Participate in forum discussions. Do assignments individually or in a group, as required.

The role of facilitator

The facilitator is an industry expert who has significant experience in that domain, a “been there, done that”. So it is usually expected that she would have all the answers. Incorrect!

The facilitator’s role is to help you ask the right questions, develop a perspective to the challenges at hand. She is not a teacher to get you to a right answer.

The intention is not to get a ‘right’ answer. In real life, there is no ‘one’ right answer. Hence, what is of more importance is to understand and be able to ask the right questions, thus be able to handle any challenge any time. That is what the facilitator will do.

All the best!
